02. BFL IMPERIAL - Fingering BFL & Silk
- 55% BFL (Bluefaced Leicester sheep breed) - 45% Natural Silk (Bombyx)
- 400m / 100g

- Bluefaced Leicester sheep raised on small farms in England and Wales. Mulberry First Grade silk (Mulberry silk)
Shine, strength, softness, that's the promise of BFL combined with a high percentage of natural Bombyx silk! The Bluefaced Leicester sheep is an English breed with a particularly long fleece, ensuring the construction of a robust yarn that resists pilling. Combined with silk, which provides softness and shine, it forms a high-quality, all-purpose base and a beautifully draped, supple, and enveloping knit. As for dyeing, this yarn takes colors gently and blends them rather than separating them, resulting in a more "melted" rather than contrasting appearance.

It's ideal for shawls and projects that won't be subjected to excessive stretching or friction. Superwash, it can be machine washed on a cold/wool cycle in a mesh laundry bag. As for dyeing, the pigments take beautifully, the colors are rich and deep, the saturation is excellent, and the speckles are precise, just like with all the subsequent Superwash Merino bases.Côté teinture, les pigments prennent parfaitement bien, les coloris sont contrastés, profonds, la saturation et bonne et les speckles précis, comme sur toutes les bases Mérinos Superwash suivantes.

A superb base with a little eco-friendly bonus—always a good thing! The nylon used here is biodegradable in 5 years instead of 30 to 40 years for conventional nylon (under standard landfill conditions at waste treatment plants). This base is also different from our 4-ply "best of" range; it's a 3-ply, thinner, and higher twist. The stitch is more finely defined, and the fabric is less bulky but more robust. An ideal base for socks and lightweight sweaters. And it retains the same softness, thanks to the extra-fine 19.5-micron merino wool, similar to the MoelliFlex you love!

06. BLING ARGENT - Fingering Silver Stellina

- Wool sourced from Australia or South America, guaranteed mulesing-free. Spun in Italy
Even softer than twisted merino, roving yarn feels like cream to the touch. Quite delicate, it shouldn't be used for projects subject to friction. However, it produces a particularly defined stitch and has a very saturated and deep color rendering, making speckles especially spectacular.

- Suri Alpaca from Peru, sourced from family farms in cooperatives, guaranteeing animal welfare and fair compensation for farmers. Silk from China (Mulberry Silk Grade A - Natural Bombyx silk)
The super-soft alternative to mohair for lined or textured sweaters, if you can't tolerate mohair (but have you tried ours, it's incredibly soft?). Suri gives knits a thicker, fluffier feel and has less of a hazy sheen than mohair.
It's a very warm and insulating fiber. As for dyeing, this yarn takes colors gently and tends to blend them rather than separate them, resulting in a more "melted" rather than contrasting appearance.

Luxury, beauty, and the sheer pleasure of this incredibly soft base fabric are so delightful that you won't want to wear anything else against your skin. Its wonderful fluidity makes it ideal for shawls, slightly boxy sweaters, kimono-style vests, and more. Alpaca and cashmere tend to pill a bit more than merino or BFL, but with a gentle shearing now and then, your garment will regain all its original beauty! As for dyeing, alpaca takes dye more diffusely and gently than merino, resulting in more blended, less contrasting colors and less defined speckles.

- A yarn designed to be equivalent to fingering weight + mohair held double. Merino wool from Australia or South America, guaranteed mulesing-free. Spun in Italy - Mohair from South Africa, sourced from farms with good animal, environmental, and social practices.
There are tons of sweater patterns knitted with two strands of yarn, one fingering weight and one strand of mohair... If you don't like knitting with two strands, then Halo Merino is for you! It combines the two yarns into one, making it so much easier to knit and far more economical! As for dyeing, it takes color beautifully; depending on the shade, saturation and contrast are guaranteed. The speckles will appear more diffuse than with a "dry" yarn because of the halo of mohair fibers.

15. ONDE SOYEUSE - Single Fingering Suri & Silk
- 69% Natural Silk - 21% Baby Suri Alpaca - 10% Nylon
- 350m / 100g
- Non Superwash - Fingering / Single Ply

- 400m / 100g

- South American Merino, guaranteed Mulesing Free - Mongolian Yak - Chinese Silk (Mulberry first grade - natural Bombyx silk)
The addition of yak to this base yarn brings a beautiful touch of its original characteristics: its supple drape, its strong natural warmth, and its subtle taupe-grey color. The luxurious luster of the silk adds a light, shimmering touch. The yarn is tightly twisted, giving the stitches a beautiful definition. Please note that the natural color of yak hair gives a very different appearance to the colors; it considerably darkens them and gives them a smoky tone, and it dulls the contrasts.

24. MER'SI'YAK SINGLE - Fingering Single Ply Merino Silk Yak

- 480m / 120g

With 50% yak wool, this is an exceptional base, instantly recognizable, combining the beauty of yak—its shimmering color, supple drape, and strong natural warmth—with the luster, strength, and fluidity of silk thread. The yarn is tightly twisted, giving each stitch a beautiful definition.
Since yak hair is naturally taupe-gray, this yarn will be the darkest of the three yak bases due to its high percentage. The colors are transformed, transported into a world of highly pictorial shimmer, like a "sfumato" technique reminiscent of the Renaissance masters.

26. BOB'MERINO - Chunky Merino w/ Nylon
- 80% Merino - 20% Nylon
- 70m / 100g
- Superfine Quality (21 µm) - Superwash Oeko-Tex - Chunky / Single Ply / Wicking

28. IMPERIAL LACE - Lace BFL & Silk
- 55% BFL (Bluefaced Leicester sheep breed) - 45% Natural Silk (Bombyx)
- 800m / 100g
- BFL 21-23 µm - Superwash - Lace / 2Ply
- Needles 2.5 - 3.5 mm (US 2-6)
- Stockinette swatch - 3.25 mm needles: 32 sts x 40 rows per 10cm (4 in)
- Bluefaced Leicester sheep raised on small farms in England and Wales. Mulberry First Grade silk (Mulberry silk)
Shine, strength, softness, it's the same as BFL Imperial Fingering, but here in a Lace weight. It allows you to knit super-fine projects like thermal underwear or spidery scarves, but it's also very interesting for use as a "double strand" with merino wool, for those who can't tolerate the feel of mohair or don't want a fuzzy halo. It allows you to achieve the desired weight without having to recalculate your project and adds a thousand nuances to the main yarn, which it twists and adds its color irregularly, just like mohair yarn. A really interesting use!
As for dyeing, it takes colors gently and spreads them rather than separating them; the colors take on a more blended than contrasting appearance.

29. BFL FINESSE - 100% Lace BFL
- 100% Bluefaced Leicester Wool
- 800m / 100g
- BFL 26 µm - Superwash - Lace / 2Ply

- Stockinette swatch - 3.25 mm needles: 32 sts x 40 rows per 10cm (4 in)
- Wool from England, robust, matte finish, mulesing free
It has the same use as Imperial Lace, without the glossy effect. It's a matte thread that takes color extremely well and separates shades by saturating them. A super strong color effect!

30. BFL SUPERSOCK - 100% Fingering BFL
- 100% Bluefaced Leicester Wool
- 400m / 100g
- Superfine Quality (21 µm) - Superwash - Sock / Fingering / 4Ply
- Needles 2.25 - 4 mm (US 1-6)
- Stockinette swatch - 3.25 mm needles: 28 sts x 36 rows per 10cm (4 in)
A beautiful quality BFL with a slightly less soft feel than extra-fine Merino, but still among the softest available for this type of wool (21-micron grade). Although nylon-free, the BFL base can be used for making socks, as it is composed of long, strong fibers.
As for dyeing, BFL absorbs color very strongly, resulting in highly contrasting colors and very strong, saturated speckles. The finish is more matte than Merino.

31. LA BIG MOUMOUTE - Lace Brushed Merino w/ Nylon
- 80% Merino - 20% Nylon
- 600m / 100g
- Needles 3 - 6 mm (US 2.5-10)

A nylon yarn wrapped around a cloud of combed, untwisted merino fibers, creating a generous, cotton-candy texture. This incredibly soft, airy yarn can replace mohair or suri for those who don't tolerate these fibers. It can be used alone or in combination with fingering weight yarn in a double-strand project (the result will be thicker than with mohair).
As for dyeing, it absorbs colors very strongly and saturates by separating the pigments... A super vibrant effect depending on the color!

32. MERINO BOUCLETTE - Lace Boucle Merino w/ Nylon
- 80% Combed Merino - 20% Nylon
- 600m / 100g
- Needles 3 - 6 mm (US 2.5-10)

A nylon thread wrapped around a loop of textured merino wool, creating a fun and unique "bouclé" texture! This incredibly soft yarn can replace mohair or suri for those who don't tolerate these fibers. It can be used alone or in combination with fingering weight yarn in a double-strand project (the result will be thicker than with mohair).
As for dyeing, it absorbs colors very strongly and saturates by separating the pigments... A super vibrant effect depending on the color!

- 400m / 100g
- Quality
- Needles
- Stockinette swatch - needles
- Machine washable (and highly recommended, in a mesh bag at a gentle temperature; the knit will soften with each wash!)
Our 100% plant-based yarn is fine and shiny, ideal for your summer knits! Due to its plant-based composition, this yarn requires a specific dyeing process and is not compatible with all the pigments used in our keratin-based yarns. Therefore, we cannot offer all the colors in our catalog using this yarn, and we dye specific colors in batches.

37. TENCIDOU - 100% Fingering Tencel
- 100% Tencel Lenzing certified
- CURRENTLY NOT OFFERED IN THE CATALOGUE - Available upon request
A summer yarn with an extreme sheen! Fine and lightweight, it will make summer tops that you won't even feel under the hottest sun—much lighter than cotton.
It is only available in a limited selection of colors because, being a 100% plant-based yarn, it is not dyed using the same methods or pigments as animal fibers; therefore, the colors in the regular catalog cannot be applied to it.
It takes dye quite intensely, but there is some color bleeding during the first few washes. This does not affect the yarn's color density; it doesn't fade, it's simply the excess saturation that washes out. Be careful not to wash it with other fabrics.
Tencel Lenzing certified is a Lyocell fiber (a cellulose fiber made from wood, most often eucalyptus), compostable and biodegradable. It is manufactured using innovative circuits, reusing in a closed loop the water resources and products needed to manufacture the fiber.

A super fun textured base, with its wavy yarn and small, irregular merino balls creating a bold, baroque knit!
The finished fabric is perfect for summer, as the wavy yarn is quite fine and dense, and with its little balls to highlight, it knits up a bit loosely. As for dyeing, it's a matte yarn that takes color extremely well and separates the shades by saturating them. A really strong color effect!

39. DOUX DESERT - Fingering Baby Camel & Silk
- 50% Baby Camel - 50% Silk
- 400m / 100g
- Fingering / 4Ply
- Needles 2.5 - 3.5 mm (US 2-5)
- Baby camel hair from the first natural molt (not sheared)
Incredibly soft, delicate, and drapey... Pure luxury! Its naturally soft caramel beige color is stunning on its own, and when used as a dye, it will enhance colors with fine speckles, those with a natural base, allowing the natural color to show through. It would be a shame to mask it with overly dense or dark colors, but ultimately, its softness might tempt you, whatever the color. Keep in mind, however, that the base color will slightly darken the other colors, giving them a warmer tone.
When used as a dye, it absorbs colors gently and blends them rather than separating them, resulting in a more "melted" rather than contrasting appearance.
